Welcome to Season One of Medicine Cypher:

Returning to the land, Returning to Ourselves 

 

Over the course of 13 episodes, we bring together interviews with healers, farmers, artists, teachers and other earth workers of African descent.  Each share their unique and powerful stories, practices, and tools for remembering our indigenous ways of living sustainably on the earth.

 

It’s not just the people who make Medicine Cypher, it’s also the places we go. In Season 1, we begin in northern California and travel to New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee to deepen our cypher’s connection to the diaspora across the U.S.   We are also calling in the energy and healing wisdom of the Caribbean Islands and the legacies our ancestors carried with them through the middle passage.
