Bae laurel o'connor

BAE LAUREL O’CONNOR  (they/them, she/her) is an artist, creator, mover, plant lover, and overall geek born and raised in the Bay Area, CA. Growing up as a more than binary being, Bae never identified with their friends who wanted to be princesses—they really wanted to live with the earth worms.  Fortunately, Bae travelled to New Zealand at the age of 17 and learned about sustainable agricultural living. The beauty, vibrancy, and depth of their gap year in Aotearoa continues to feed Bae’s earth dreams.

Bae laurel went on to attend  Williams College in Massachusetts, earning a bachelors degree in Studio Art and American Studies with an emphasis in Environmental Studies. There, Bae laurel explored different creative forms and developed a love for film, dance, and animation.   After graduating, Bae returned to earth by way of herbal medicine. They were blessed to apprentice (aka get woke) with Abi Huff of Stinging Nettle Apothecary in Sonoma, CA. This path of healing led Bae to deepen their passion for plants, animals, and tending to the land. Bae further ignited this spark at Starhawk’s Earth Activist Training and went on to live this passion at Rolling Rivers Farms in Orleans, CA.

Bae laurel is continuing to develop their roots as an earth steward through connecting to their creativity, their ancestors, the land, and the love that is.
